CD Released May 2008

The album title, “Between Friends”, was a natural fit.  John, Dave and Susan have been playing together for over 25 years and when Jim arrived in town the trio became a quartet and Jim has become a close friend.  The eclectic nature of this album speaks volumes about the varied musical tastes we have many styles that we are drawn to – from Baroque transcriptions to Dixieland and Jazz standards to contemporary trombone repertoire

We all owe a huge debt of thanks and tons of hugs for our supportive and understanding significant others.  The hours of practice, sometimes into the wee hours, often disrupted household schedules, meals and sleep patterns.  The never ending cups of tea and pumpkin muffins consumed while making plans for the next gig or rehearsal created more than just a musical bond between us and brought us even closer together.

Producing this CD has been a great learning experience for all of us.  We had to become not only producers but also editors, sound engineers, graphic art critics, accountants and producers.  Nobody told us this would be difficult, so we just pressed on.
